Job Specification:
To undertake a variety of processes including the sub-assembly and inspection of components and associated assemblies as required by the production schedule such that the efficiency and effectiveness of the department is maintained at the highest level and in accordance with company procedures and objectives.
Job Requirements
Able to read engineering drawings and work instructions
Experienced in the use of a variety of assembly / fitting tools and equipment
Able to use a vernier and micrometer
Basic knowledge of general small-scale fitting techniques
Must be PC literate
To undertake self-inspection and quality check of work undertaken in accordance with laid down quality standards and procedures, and to assist in the successful implementation of ongoing process improvements
Full training will be given on the job where required.
Person Specification:
Good basic standard of education (literate and numerate)
Assertive and confident approach (must not be afraid to seek advice)
Teachable and willing to learn
Factory/industrial background not essential, but may be beneficial
Experience of aerospace industry with an understanding of high quality standards and job traceability, etc. will be beneficial
Physically fit
